I believe the 4903-9256 may still be in production. It is listed on this catalog on the “Retrofit Notification Appliance Reference” page, since it is meant to replace older 4903 mechanical horns. However, it is not listed on the 2025 catalog, despite the other 4903 retrofit horn strobes being listed.

The QuickAlert/TrueAlert series released in 1999, and I think these retrofit horns may have actually been released slightly later. The 4901-9820 is the standard QuickAlert/TrueAlert horn, while the 4901-9821 is a rebranded Wheelock MT and the 4901-9822 is the retrofit horn that sounds similar to the TrueAlert.
Interesting, this might be an early model because of the date code, I can’t tell if it’s 2001 or 2005.

So yeah this is likely a very early model, it’s lower pitch than an average TrueAlert
