I got a Honeywell SC807A1003 (Honeywell Rebranded Wheelock 7002-24) I powered it on but nothing worked. I also got a Wheelock 7002T that was missing its strobe and thought about removing the Horn Mechanism and try to put it inside of the SC807A1003.
Is there a safe way to remove the Horn in order to fix my SC807A1003?
I don’t believe so: last I checked the horn mechanism of 7000-series horn/strobes & 30-series horns is securely attached to the body of the alarm & thus is non-removable.
Possibly not, though have you checked to see if the horn’s tone screw is tightened (or loosened) enough? (since if it’s too tight or too loose the horn may not work at all)
I’m honestly not sure: I know DC 7000-series horn/strobes have the horn & strobe wired together which makes the horn skip when the strobe flashes, but whether the latter would be affected by the former’s screw being too loose or tight I have no idea.
Little Update, I Applied Power and after a few Seconds the Horn Started then after another 2 Seconds the Strobe started! I guess the 7002 just needed time to wake up lol.
