Just want some public opinion as I am thinking about adding the MS-4 to my collection. I like the MS-5UD way better, but it is a bit out of my price range.

No. Do not buy one of these panels. They are essentially the worst brand new panel produced, and you’re just wasting your money purchasing one.
They have many issues, including (but not limited to):
- FWR NAC/AUX outputs (can damage devices not rated)
- Limited capabilities & programming
- Poor build quality (cabinet quality sucks)
- Prone to random failure in multiple areas, including:
– Relays
– Main master controller board
– Power supply
So…don’t buy one. Save up some money, and buy a good conventional panel like the Simplex 4004 or MS-5UD.

The AUX is filtered lol
I’d say the newer MS-2/4s are worse in terms of overall build quality, most Honeywell panels made after 2018 have sucked anyways.
