I got this smoke alarm from my grandmas house a while ago but have wondered how rare it it.
Yes, quite so: that’s a Black & Decker Flamebuster SMK30, which as you might be able to tell uses the same base design as their older Flamebuster-series units.
Sort of: that’s a Fyrnetics Lifesaver 1205, which I actually had two of one time.
Nice! (though minus the 1205 right?) I see two BRK 86RACs, two First Alert SA67Ds, a Black & Decker Flamebuster SMK30, & a Universal/USI Electric USI-1204.
Yeah the 1205 hasn’t been mounted yet
The brk’s are also branded by first alert. Ik their the same thing
Ah, k.
Yeah, though the First Alert branding means they’re SA86Bs, SA86Cs, or SA86RACs instead.
Oh, okay, close enough I guess.
What do you suppose happened to it? (especially since it’s normally very tightly-attached to the detector & thus is very hard to lose)
I may or may not have dropped the detector when I got it off the ceiling and when it hit the floor it broke off. Then I kinda lost the tray.. I still have no idea where it is
Also how rare are the alarms on that board. Just wondering
Oh, okay, huh. Maybe you ought to try looking for it sometime.
Most are fairly rare I’d say: maybe not super-rare or anything but still rare by most/today’s standards (& thus definitely worth holding onto & preserving).
