Is This Unmarked Relay A Fire Alarm Device Or A Telegraph Device?

This is an unmarked relay that has multiple differences from the usual telegraph landline relays I see (I’m a telegraph guy).

It’s marked 250 ohms underneath but the coils have been replaced with coils marked 800 and indeed the resistance of the item measures around 1600 ohms ballpark. The red fiber coil forms in particular would be extremely unusual for a telegraph device.

Some old ADT devices used solenoids that looked a lot like this. They were usually used to activate a clockwork mechanism, when power is applied it would release the mechanism and allow the clockwork to run

Thanks very much! Very interesting!
