I recently acquired a Kidde 0916 smoke alarm from 1999. I would like to know what timeframe they were manufactured in. I saw somewhere that someone had one from 2003-2004 and that they would just chirp when they detected steam. Thank you!
Not sure when the 0916 was introduced or discontinued but I think its successor the “0916E” (also known as the “i9060” according to Google) is still made today.
Smoke detectors are only supposed to chirp when their battery is low, missing, or dead.
