I was watching the newest LTT video, about a datacenter, and they actually showed some of the fire detection equiptment. https://youtu.be/wumluVRmxyA?si=2ERuPBVzGQuBhOp9
Although I wonder why the NAs are spectralerts, but the panel is Simplex.
I didn’t see them actually show the panel in the video. Did I miss it? If not, it could either be a Honeywell or Simplex system. If it is Honeywell, it has conventional Simplex devices on it for some reason. If it is Simplex, it has System Sensor devices on it for some reason. Either way, it’s weird that they would do that. It’s probably either a retrofit system or the installer had devices from different companies in stock. They might have also done it if one company has cheaper devices than the other.
It could be different because it is Canada, though. They seem to use a lot more cross-branded systems on new installations than in the U.S.
I didn’t see the panel. Although I did see a Simplex Pull that had the little addressable indicator tube in it so I am going to assume that it is a Simplex panel.
