The funny thing is that I could have sworn they stopped using the FireX brand name over a decade ago, yet only a few years back I found a Kidde FireX-branded detector for sale at a thrift store, & it was fairly new too! (forget the date of manufacture exactly but it was fairly new at the time)

Wow. And we got brand new FireX detectors at Walmart only a few years ago after our old ones died one by one in various ways!
