I have a MS-9050UD and it will randomly pop up different ASCII characters on the lcd, is the panel dying or is there something I can fix? A hard reset does not help the issue.

It means that you need to call Honeywell for service and sell one of your kidneys to pay the bill!
Joking aside, i would look into reflashing the firmware. After a quick google search it seems that it can be done and might be easy to get as well.
