My career begins...

Well, my career pilots at the end of this summer - I just recently accepted a position as a high school science teacher.

Starting August 27th, I’ll be teaching 3 general science classes and 2 college-prep chemistry classes. Thankfully, the school has a strict attendance policy, which refreshingly contrasts the school at which I student taught. There, some students had absences totaling 20, 30, even 40 days a year.

Anyway, I’m very much looking forward to starting, and I just wanted to share with you all.

Congratulations on finding a teaching position!

Thanks, Andrew. I sign the official papers this week and also get to see the room(s) I’ll be teaching in.

And, of course, the nerd in me will do an alarm search (I know they have MT’s), but I’ll save that for the fire alarm discussion.

That’s awesome, congrats!

Congratulations! Good luck!

I love being in education. It contains a lot of work ahead for you, but it is definately worth it.
