Not a bad setup! (especially with a MASS, which not all collectors start out with!)
Is that an MS-5UD-3 or an MS-5UD-7?
5UD 3 The mass is coded to temporal and the rest of the devices are on system sensor sync
Ah okay, cool. Going by the fact that your MS-5UD is a “-3” model specifically though, do not power Simplex devices with it: they will be destroyed by the FWR that the MS-5UD-3 outputs.
Simplex mechanical horns are fine right? I know mechanical horns sound bad on these but I know simplex made fwr panels in the past so I would think it’s fine.
I believe so: I think it’s only electronic Simplex signals that are damaged by FWR (could be wrong though: if so feel free to correct me on this).
Just to be safe I wouldn’t since a mechanical horn has moving parts.
It technically has nothing to do with that I believe, but DC electromechanical horns do buzz & sound raspy on FWR (almost like an AC horn in fact), rather than smooth like they would on filtered DC.

I’ve heard them like that before. They sometimes sound like they’re dying as well.
