What does SHUNT TRIP mean?

A manual way of tripping a circuit breaker if need be I think (which can include via a fire alarm system to help prevent additional damage & make things safer for occupants during an emergency).

In my area these stations are just labeled EMERGENCY POWER SHUT OFF.

I saw break glass stations labeled Shunt Trip all across Universal Orlando. I thought that had to do with fire suppression.

Yeah, that works too.

I saw one of those too actually when I was there once.

got some new pulls recently

Not far off tho! Its essentially a bg-10L with an ademco addressable module bolted to the back. It even features the non recalled button. I believe this is firelite’s first addressable pull

What, I didn’t know that even existed.

So is a BG-10 type pull station with the non-recalled button rare or smth? Also is this particular model rare as well?

Yes and yes! The red button bg-10’s are rare

I did: I actually have two addressable BG-10s (one of which is a BG-ID, the other is a BGX-10).

From what I remember I believe at least a few of my BG-10s have red buttons, so I guess I have some of those then.

Yes the early am-2020 pull and the bgid both feature the red otto controlls “ red clicky button “ both pulls are rare

I had no idea. I sure hope the BG-10L I’m obtaining has the red button. Also, @TheCarson116, you oughta do a collection video.

It most likely won’t, they’re pretty rare. Bg-10’s commonly came with silver carling buttons ( aka the recalled ones )

Nice pull stations! The BGID is particularly interesting. Was that model used exclusively with the MS-4800 panels?

I previously owned the MS-151 version of the MSX (model MSX-2). Those addressable modules are quite bulky.

  • yes the bgid ran on the miniscan 48XX panels, it utilized an ademco slc protocol
  • Yes the msx modules are quite bulky and primitive, it features two boards connected by a ribbon cable. Interestingly enough the button leads are glued into the 7 and 6 spots on the terminal block. This is definitely a very primitive and bulky pull.

Very nice! All three of those pulls look practically brand-new despite their age! You might also be one of the first (if not the first) enthusiasts to have one of those break-glass RMS-1Ts!

Yeah they’re very nice collection pieces, jared had the break glass rsg pull before he sold his collection. Both the tbar and the 276 are NIB

Nice acquisitions. Especially with the rare RSG RMS-1P-KL-DAH. And is that BG-10L addressable?
