That would likely be for a fire alarm service company to do, though they may not be able to for several reasons including audibility requirements & of course having to get permission from the school’s staff in the first place.

P.S. The signals at your school are likely fairly standard non-weatherproof Advance-series NAs instead (thus meaning there’s no “K-R” in the model number), & whether they have a “2” or “4” in the model number depends on whether they’re 2-wire or 4-wire, which can only be determined when they’re mounted by observing their operation (mainly whether their strobes continue to flash after the horns have been silenced, though if they’re being synced with selective silence or the system doesn’t utilize audible silence (which actually isn’t allowed anymore) that throws a wrench into things).

P.P.S. Capitalizing nearly every single word is not necessary (if anything it just looks dumb & makes a sentence harder to read).

The People Who Do The Fire Alarms Are One Of The Teachers Husbands Company And I do Know The Guy Who Does Them!

You’d likely still have to contact the school district & see if they could at the very least consider the possibility of the signals being too loud & thus contacting the local fire alarm service company to come & check it out (there’s obviously no guarantee that anything would actually happen though, especially since most school districts likely have many other things that they’re already dealing with, things they probably consider more important than something like this).

Edit by moderation: Don’t do this. The fire alarm is supposed to be loud. Don’t inundate the fire alarm company with pointless requests.

Yeah I may also go to the principal. i go to a charter school so its different than district schools. i may contact the janitor and the Fire Alarm Company I Know.

The system was speced this way on purpose. Do not attempt to modify it or change it yourself, nor have anyone else do it. You’re asking for liability problems and issues.

It might have been, but just the same OP might have a point about it being too loud, & I did tell them to contact those in charge of the school, who would be the ones with the actual authority to do something about it if it was determined to be an actual problem.

Hello! Fire alarm Tech here. Fire alarms are supposed to be loud. As such they will not be made quieter as it would no longer be within code. Hope this helps

You cannot modify or change anything on your school’s fire alarm system. That is something only licensed personnel can do, and they will very unlikely set all devices to low-volume just because it is loud. In case you don’t already know, this is the point of a fire alarm.

The fire alarm is literally designed to be loud on purpose so that people hear it. It is not supposed to be background noise, it is to alert building occupants of an emergency. It is not OP’s business nor should he be trying to mess with it. I am locking this thread because it is pointless.
