My NOS Simplex 4208AX

So it’s been quite a while since I posted anything here on the forums and I have quite a bit to share. One of the newest items in my collection is this simplex 4208. What’s special is the fact that it was never installed in a building so it’s basically new. It even has the original schematics. The outside is rather dusty but the inside is in mint condition. It has 1 zone and 3 bell circuits which is a bit odd. No coder module though I hope I can add one to it if I find one.

I have been working on a couple of new “project panels” lately since the 2001 build project has been completed. I’m getting a cabinet for one of them soon so you guys will see photos of that panel in the coming weeks. I really should do an update to my post with all of my control panels and rare devices because a lot of new stuff has been added to my collection. But anyways, here is my new 4208. Haven’t done a whole lot of testing yet other than powering it up. These things are beasts and the fact this one was never installed, so I’m 99 percent sure it will work just fine.

Wow, that is an awesome panel! I can’t believe you got it unused!

akron’s old Ellet HS had this exact panel, but except it had a master code mechanism with the code of 4-4-4-4 (Autocall/Edwards and a few other companies had that code). I strongly recommend you share this with old school fire alarms through his website.
