I got a Wheelock exceder. It sparked my interest! I also had a MT4-115 something something that shorted out because it was running on 120 volts for too long. I got another exceder. This time a ceiling Mount. It said it was a horn/strobe but it was only a strobe. I am planning on getting a p2r soon. I also hope to get a panel.
That MT4-115 should not have shorted out if you were running it on the correct voltage: are you sure it was rated for 120VAC?

The wiring could not have been screwed In right. It was 115 volt alarm. I still have the model number for it.
In that case I have no idea why it would have randomly shorted like that (at least if that’s what happened).
Nice additions! I’m surprised some of them are in such mint condition! (particularly the 9838 & 9840) Some of the wire you use also looks like some of the wiring I have as well.

Yeah. I actually just purchased a lot of 6 spectralert advance devices. One is a strobe with clear lens and Alert lettering. How rare is that?
Not sure, but I have a ceiling-mount Advance speaker/strobe that’s like that too (not sure why System Sensor produced such models if clear lens strobes are only supposed to be used for fire alarm or evacuation according to code though).
I know, right. What difference does the Code option on horn only make?
Yeah. I believe that’s to allow a FACP to pulse the device (not sure why System Sensor didn’t just make the “Continuous” setting work with such but yeah).
Would you consider getting 6 advances for 70 bucks a steal? It seems like it to me.
Yeah, I’d say so, especially with how much device prices in general have gone up drastically in recent years.
