So I got this exit sign and emergency light combo, I originally got an exit only sign on eBay and got a free replacement, plus got to keep the exit only sign, I Brought the combo to school and accidentally dropped it on the tile floor. (Never doing that again 
) I got a new extension cord that I had used for a few days and cut the 2 prong outlet end off, I wired the exit sign with it and plugged it in, but it did nothing, I hooked it up with ANOTHER extension cord that I use for my exit only combo, It didn’t work either, so I only know that it’s either the transformer, or PCB Board, I originally bought this exit sign combo for my friend’s workplace office, I contacted the man once and do not want to hassle him again about the exit sign because he’s a pretty nice guy. I don’t want to buy another exit sign combo, I need help, the only other hope is to contact commercial electric because that’s the brand of the exit sign. I really need help here.

I would not use an exit sign bought off Ebay in an actual life safety application to begin with if I were you: those things are meant to be bought brand-new from the manufacturer to ensure that they’ll work when needed most (at least if I’m understanding you correctly on this). As for repairing it though, I would have no clue how to fix it: anything on it could be broken really.

They are also quite inexpensive even when bought new ($50-$100 at a MRO or lighting supplier should get you a decent generic combo, and you can find deals for less if you know where to look, even)

Now it’s mostly for decoration really
Now they can be but I’m mostly on a budget because I like to save money
