Need help mounting a horn to a strobe plate

I have a FCi HFC/SL strobe plate I got NIB, but I can’t figure out where the wires feed through for the strobe. I think that the horn that I have (a 9838 with the cover removed) won’t work with it as no hole for the wires seem to exist. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The (IMO) terrible diagram

It doesn’t look like there’s a hole in the horn. You may need to run the wires above the horn, looks like there might be enough space.

Those type of horns were made two ways. One with a hole punched for wires, and one without. Unfortunately yours is the later. That horn was never meant for a strobe plate. You’ll need to get the correct horn to use it easily.

Mk thanks. I was afraid of that. Could I punch the hole myself? Or will that damage the mechanism?

I wouldn’t do it.
