That kinda sucks. It may not be used but it’s cool still
According to this catalog, the horn-only MT has been discontinued, despite there being no weatherproof or 115 VAC replacement. It also appears that the ET70 and ET90 speaker-only models have been discontinued with no 8-watt Eluxa replacements, and the Eluxa cross reference says to use the 2-watt speakers as replacements. We might soon see a weatherproof ELMT and a weatherproof 8-watt ELSPK to replace outdoor MT installations and ET-1010/ET-1080 devices. Other companies such as Edwards and System Sensor have also seemingly experienced delays in outdoor products, which may be related to the lack of an Eluxa ET release in “Q1 2024.”
Based on this new UL listing page, it seems that Wheelock will soon be releasing an “ELAMT” and “ELAMTST,” which are presumably replacements for the AMT. I do not see any outdoor version of the ELAMT, and I am not sure if these will be 6/8 wire devices like the original AMT or if they will use a special protocol on 2/4 wires.
The ELAMT info has now been released. The datasheet is here and the manual is here. It appears that the ELAMT still has 3 separate inputs for the 3 tones (instead of using a special 2-wire protocol), but due to space limitations on the mounting plate, the horn terminals are located directly on the PCB (which appears to be an unmodified AMT). The strobe terminals are still located on the mounting plate.
Also, it seems that the strobe models are only produced in red. The datasheet does not specify which models, if any, have FIRE lettering.
