I’m getting a 50s (or so) red Model 2T, With shroud.
220V 1-Phase version.
It is currently in the state of Ohio as of writing this
I name all of my sirens… what do I name this boi?

Ronnie is a good name! A 2T?!?!?! YOUR LUCKY
I’ll consider that…
Got it from the person who gave me all 6 of my other sirens, even the other FE Model 2
Yeah! If not Johnny or Donnie.
As 4903 said I’d say you’re quite lucky to be getting a whole electromechanical siren like that. Couple questions:
Planning on restoring it to brand-new condition once you get it? (given how rusted it is currently)
Any idea if it works?
Where would you get the 240VAC needed to power it?
What exactly sets the Model 2T apart from the Model 2?
The Model 2T is dual-tone, while the Model 2 is single tone.
That’s awesome! I wish I could, the closest thing to a big siren I have is the Federal Signal PR2 Projector Horn
I do not plan to restore it, maybe in the distant future.
It does work.
It has to use 240v, but I do have a 240v panel that used to connect
to a hot tub before we moved in in the backyard of my house
And a 2T is dual tone, and a 2 is a single tone. That’s the same with all FS sirens
That’s what I said! lol
I already have posted my “jealousy” here but I generally think that a 2 tone siren is “off”. Theres nothing wrong with them I’m just not a big fan of them.
Nice 2T!!! Is it 4/5 port or 5/6 port?
Dual tone sirens are honestly probably the best sounding sirens out there. 10/12, 8/10, 5/6, 7/10, etc all sound absolutely amazing.
4/5. To my knowledge no standalone (as in, not in a Thunderbolt 1000T) Model 2Ts were made in 5/6.
Ah, alright. Couldn’t remember if the 2T went into the 5/6 era or not
Search up the Federal Signal Model 66
