New to this but i picked up a wheelock as today

I found it at the thrift store and was wondering if anyone knew what kind of power it takes and how to adjust the volume if you can.

There are jumpers on the back of the unit that you can move around to adjust the settings. You’ll want to power it with a 24 volt (DC) power supply.

What does it look like can you send a picture? I can only help you out visually.

Normal alarms can take 24 volts, normally, I use 3 9v batteries connected to each other and wire the alarm. It depends on the kind whether it’s an AS, NS, a bell, ZNS, ZHS. There are many kinds out there. I think I made up a ZHS

Make sure “+” and “-” are correct!
NEVER REVERSE POLARITY!
