in nfpa72, 2022 or 2019, clause 23.11.10, what is relation between the releasing panel and the fire alarm system? As this clause says, the releasing panel shall not be dependent on the operation of fire alarm system. Does it mean that all the fire detectors, which initiate suppression and releasing function, shall be connected to the releasing panel and the releasing panel shall not be actuated by the fire alarm system?(otherwise the releasing panel would be dependent on the fire alarm system).
A releasing system is designed to protect property with a way to contain the fire (FE227, Intergen, sprinkler ie…) it will also activate a fire alarm system for the life safety portion.
