No Drill Activation For Non-Silencable NAC's

Whenever I tested the drill function on my MS-9050UD, only NAC 1 sounded. I knew NAC 2 worked, because I had just had the system in alarm. So, I looked at the control panel manual, and noticed that any NAC’s set to non-silencable will not activate during a manual evacuation.

What do you think the reason is?

So nac 2 is your strobes?

Yes, at first I was going to do it the other way around, but then I decided not to.

turn nac two to silencable and test the drill and see if it works

Does the panel have a selective silence feature? I was thinking if it does and you could wire it up, the drill function may sound both your audibles and strobes.

That’s what he has on now. Selective silence means to turn off the horns and strobes continue to flash

No, that’s audible silence.
Selective silence, IIRC, is a way of silencing and syncing 2-wire horn/strobes.

Oh ok but that is what he has on now

Audible silence, as in NAC0 is silenceable and NAC1 is non-silenceable.
Logic Numbers > Human numbers

Ok thanks

Here are answers to your questions:

NAC 1 is audibles
NAC 2 is strobes
Since I have separate strobes and audibles, I do not have selective silence enabled.
Yes, it has selective silence, but I am not going to wire it up right now.

If anyone thinks they might know why Fire-Lite had this programmed that way, please post it.
