About a month or so ago, I obtained a NoS Edwards 270-SPO free from the fire marshal.
As you can see on the datasheet for this alarm, it appears to have been manufactured on February 4, 1986.

The date on the paperwork is when the design drawing was completed, not necessarily when the station was made.
