I was on the internet looking for alarms and I found this Notifier Call point and was wondering if this would work on a Notifier panel found in the states. Because if it does I would buy one because they cost $29.76 USD and would be cool to add to my collection
I don’t think that call point uses flashscan
No, but it might either be conventional or be able to be converted to conventional & thus would work on any conventional panel (not just Notifier).
That is actually a KAC new style call point rebranded by Notifier, commonly found in the UK where I am from
Is KAC the original maker of that particular design? It seems like that’s one of the more common/ubiquitous call point designs.
@TheCarson116, yes, it’s copied by Chinese companies as well
No surprise there: seems like China will knock off just about anything these days (& they basically do).
The only other iteration of it that I can recall right now is a unique wireless version formerly rebranded by EI Electronics called the “Ei407”: it makes use of the LED hole on the top-right (which isn’t used on some versions) & is meant to be used with EI’s wireless smoke detectors (the call point sets off the detectors when activated, which I’ve never seen done by any other company).
I have seen the EI/Aico Radiolink KAC call points online
Yeah, I don’t think they sell the Ei407 along with the detectors it’s supposed to be used with anymore though (though from what I’ve seen they apparently still manufacture a newer version of the Ei407, what detectors it’s compatible with however I have no idea).
