Odd Honeywell transformer

Hi, We have lived in a house built in 1957 and we moved in 8 years ago. In our crawlspace there is a Honeywell transformer that has been buzzing as long as I can remember. It doesn’t have anything connected on the output terminals but it is just constantly buzzing as it ages. It is mounted next to our furnace. I was just wondering if anyone might have any idea what it may have been used for. I have attached a video. Not necessarily looking for how to stop it, just looking if anyone knows what it may have been used for.

The only use for those kinds of transformers that I’ve seen is for doorbell systems.

Since it’s mounted by your furnace and it’s a Honeywell brand it was probably related to an older furnace, damper or thermostat. There is nothing on the output terminals so it should be fine to discoinnect it.
