A Australian based company has decided to make panels for the US Market.
Since Pertronic uses System Sensor devices, there might be some Pertronic BG-12s coming out.
Im excited to see how this plays out

From the looks of their website, I think they will be using System Sensor notification appliances as well.
This will certainly be an interesting addition to the market. I wonder if they will catch on quickly or not. Hopefully they have good products.
From what I heard from some australians, they prefer these systems over notifier. the panels are good quality and the devices are just like any other honeywell device
Well isn’t that interesting & neat! I both welcome them to the US market & hope that they both do well & that their products turn out to be excellent! I also wonder if this will encourage others, including their Australian neighbors at Ampac, to enter the US market too.
From what I gather they are based in New Zealand rather than Australia (especially since that’s the flag of New Zealand alongside the US flag on that page).
Pertronic also makes devices for australia & NZ. I doubt ampac will come as advanced is owned by the same company as ampac (halma) and advanced is in the US but isnt major so they might think that ampac wont do so well. They also use the same devices
Well yeah, that’s obvious: the latter they’re based in & the former is practically right next door to New Zealand & thus it’s just logical to sell products there too (especially with how much bigger Australia is compared to New Zealand).
Oh, okay, just wondering. There’s others elsewhere in the world though, including a lot of manufacturers in England (besides Apollo for one who do (or at least did at one time) sell their products in the US too).
Thats true. Hochiki has manufactured for the US for companies like simplex, silent knight, and others.
Pertronic now has a US site. The pulls are mircom
Interesting. From the looks of it, their panels will also be compatible with Gentex, System Sensor, and Wheelock notification appliances.
I don’t know about Silent Knight but Simplex I know they’ve made smoke detectors for (signals too possibly).
You mean Pertronic, right?
“This is a draft site” Heh.
Really? Interesting (I for one would pair Gentex NAs with their systems of course).
Yes, I meant pertronic. But it is extremely obvious that SK used hochiki detectors for their SD series. Even hochiki and Silent knight say they do.
Ah, thought so.
Oh yeah: forgot about those.
Well isn’t that a neat development! Given Pertronic has sold System Sensor devices in their native region before I’m kinda not surprised that they went with them for their US venture, though contrary to what the first poster in this topic said they have apparently decided to rebrand Mircom’s MPS-800-series of pull stations instead of BG-12s (kind of an odd choice especially when the BG-12 has been known to be rebranded by many companies (& of course is also made by System Sensor) but yeah). Of note is that they also offer Gentex & Wheelock devices alongside System Sensor’s too (or at least advertise that all three are compatible with their F220 FACP): never seen that before!
Didn’t System Sensor discontinue the SRK in October 2024?
I don’t know when exactly, but I believe it was discontinued at some point. In fact, most of the listed devices seem to be outdated and/or discontinued. This seems to be a common theme across the websites of most companies that use Honeywell products.
