Found a new in box probe 101 cant find much on it. Just seeing if its something people are looking for.
The Probe-series of residential ionization smoke detectors was made by a company in Costa Mesa, California named “Southwest Laboratories, Inc.”. I don’t know what exactly happened to them (aside from possibly being forced out of business in 1991 due to non-payment of taxes according to OpenCorporates), but it’s clear they went out of business at some point as they’re not around today. Their Probe-series seems to have been made in the 80s. They are very rare to find nowdays (which is why it’s all the more important that any found examples are preserved I say).

I would have no idea, but just the same I wouldn’t price it too high: us collectors aren’t made of money! (unlike what most Ebay sellers would have you believe with the absurdly-high prices they set)
