I found a company named Protectwell that seems odd. It seems that at some point, they rebranded the NFS2-3030, but the PTW2-3300 and PTW-3300S don’t look like Notifier systems, even though some of the model numbers look similar.
That does seem quite interesting. It seems like they use Potter for the U.S. market and their own stuff elsewhere. I wonder if any of the rebranded Notifier equipment exists in the U.S. My guess is that they rebranded the Notifier stuff before they had their own line of products, sort of like Johnson Controls.
Protoneywell NFS2-3330S
Im going to have to find one of those Protectwell-branded Notifier doors…
Protectwell is a brand based out of China from 2006 used in Chinese and Southeast Asia market, they are a partner of Honeywell.
They provided systems to a lot of Guangzhou’s subway stations
Highly doubt they sell rebranded equipment outside of Asia market
The non rebranded panels are made to better suit the Asia market just like how Notifier has panels like the N6000 which was never sold in the US and was also rebranded by Protectwell
While they wouldn’t rebranded American stuff in Europe, System Sensor exists in China as well. Stupidly enough, some their notification appliances in China are addressable.
Thats normal for the Chinese market, addressable initiating and notification devices have been pretty much the standard for over 15 years. only the American designed Notifier panels can’t support the addressable notification appliances so they still make standard conventional horn strobes for those systems while they can use addressable ones for systems like the N6000.
Systems over there are much more complex in requirements and advanced than here so having more addressability makes it easier to meet those requirements.
Can American Notifier period, meaning the ones we see here in America, support these notification appliances?
None of the Notifier panels designed in the US supported addressable notification, only the panels they designed in China like the N6000 Panels supported the addressable system sensor notification appliances.
