Did the Adaptahorn have just one pitch to it (like a TrueAlert) or did it have varied pitches (like a Simplex 9219)?
It depends on the input power type. If it’s DC you don’t know what you’ll end up with. If it’s AC it’ll always be 60 Hz.
One other question: could the Adaptahorn be fitted on a strobe plate or is it too big to be retrofitted?
They did come with strobes, which were the 892-style ones. I’m not sure whether the strobe was a plate or if it was integrated with the horn.
