Question about the wheelock SM sync module

So I ordered a Wheelock SM 12/24-R sync module and I found out that it is designed for class B fire alarm circuits. Can it work in a basic circuit?

“Class B” just means that one pair of wires goes from the sync module to the notification appliance: “Class A” is the same thing but with another pair of wires going from the notification appliance back to the module (which is not the case in this case).

What do you mean by “basic circuit” exactly?

I use a homemade panel

The SM should work fine with it I think (provided it has a fairly standard NAC output like most panels).
