Radionics AS Horn/Strobe

Anyone ever seen a Wheelock AS re-branded by Radionics? Came across a bunch of these in a small store. There was also one Radionics (RSG) RMS-1T in the front. I love the AS series alarms, even though I don’t even yet have one in my collection. This just seemed a bit odd to me. I wonder what the Radionics model # is on this.

I remember seeing the vertical strobed AS rebranded by Radionics (In real life and on YT), never the horizontal strobed model.

Interesting find.

The Bosch-Radionics version still has the model number AS.

That’s cool. Never even seen the original vertical strobed ones in real life.

And thanks. Was wondering if they used the same numbers.

Radionics actually sold those as the D500-series signals. I have a Radionics-branded 12VDC version of the AS with a 30 candela vertical strobe and its model number is D513S.

Whoops, I just knew that their website listed them as the “AS Series”.

You’re right! I just checked their website and noticed that. They might’ve ditched their in-house model-numbering system for those signals sometime in the last few years since it looks like they now use Wheelock’s original model numbers.

I agree. Maybe they just changed over to original model numbers. Sometimes however, I have noticed that if a company re-brands the alarm, they will add a letter of their name to the model #. Like the Fire-Lite BG-12 pull station re-branded by Notifier is NBG-12. Maybe this an RAS-24MCW. Who knows?

Thanks everyone for the input so far.

I have 2 Wal-Marts in my area that have ASses re branded by Raidionics.

Many Walmarts that haven’t been built within the last 5 or so years seem to have those. Walmart is really the only place where I have seen a Radionics branded horn/strobe.

Now i am curious if I found out that the Spectralerts in my local Walmart are re-branded by Radionics.

I hate to throw a wrench in the cog, but I went on a field trip to Manchester on Oct. 24th this year, and I found a Siemens ASWP. First time i have seen a Siemens system with re-branded Wheelock alarms with the usual Siemens pulls, and they had Siemens ZNS’ inside. So I was a little excited.
