Rare EST3 voice evac message

All this is my informed guess given that the message was re-recorded in 2021 so the panel was probably replaced at that time. The IRC-3 video may have been uploaded later than it was taken as 2007 was likely when the EST3 was put in.

The reason why SAFE wanted to re-record their standard message is because they wanted to be able to use it in more types of buildings - new one says “building” instead of “hotel”. (Also, these properties have many areas other than the hotel - e.g. casino floor, retail, etc.)

Well yeah, but it was still reused when the EST3 replaced the IRC-3, & it probably could have kept on being reused since the likely majority of the building is the hotel portion.

What? The only original WTC buildings we’ve heard the alarm system sounding in are WTC 1, WTC 2, & WTC 7.

Oh, huh. That does sound like the older EST2/EST3 whoop (though I’ve been told it debuted on the IRC-3 & has been reused on subsequent voice-capable Edwards panels), & I think I’ve seen people say that WTC3, which was a Marriott hotel, did have an EST system at the time.
