It is a First Alert household smoke alarm. I don’t know when it was made though.
Depending on the type of button in it, I believe that is a First Alert SA90LT. I have one of those.
Thanks for the reply. Come to think of it, I think it is a First Alert SA90LT.
Very cool! I’ve always wondered what that detector was.
And, ncovey1998- That smoke detector could either be an SA90LT (if it has the gold button with a pinhole in the center), or an SA67D (commonly labeled 83R) (if it has the clear button). Definitely a First Alert from the early to mid 90’s.
… and these alarms aren’t really that rare.
My dad took my SA76RC AND SMASHED IT WITH A HAMMER!!
Why would he smash your SA76RC with a hammer?
Mad
Anger issues much?
Anger issues much?
Apparently i was spouses to be reading…
Too bad about the hammer incident, but it looks like your dad has a good point. More studying is needed. The correct word would be “suppose”.
spouse

synonyms: (life) partner, mate, consort;
informalbetter half, other half
"are spouses invited to the office party?"

"I'm suppose to be reading."
At some time in the future you will be applying for college or for a job. Correct grammar is an absolute necessity for success in the future. Or memorize this line “you want fries with that?”

I hate grammar.
FYI: I was done with my math homework(That is what i was reading)
Ah the dreaded homework. It kills us all at times. I probably should be doing mine right now.
I wouldn’t think that someone should be so mad as to smash a vintage smoke alarm with a hammer ( unless they are like my parents who hate my enthusiasm for alarms ). Hopefully one arises on eBay and you can buy it off there, just keep your eye on the site for one!

was the SA76RC Rare??
I’m pretty sure it was rare, but I could be wrong.
Wow that sucks, I have a lot of sympathy for you, lilrags16. Not from experience but from a similar standpoint. Living with your parents can be annoying and your siblings can really irritate you. I believe you that you said earlier that you just tested into Algebra I, so that’s good. It gets easier in college since you are more independent and have better control over your life and not have your parents always checking in on your studies/social life; believe me, I’m writing this in a dorm room with three other students right now and while I’m about five years older then they are, we are all now experiencing a more independent life without the hassles of living at home.
Algebra…ick. I’m not sure how it differs from state to state, but here in Mass. they are hell bent on cramming algebra down student’s throats at any and every opportunity.
Some people are great at it, and that’s awesome, but I wasn’t one of them. lol I struggled with it in HS and still struggled with it in college. Finally, after applying myself and understanding it enough to pass my courses and take up statistics in my second year of college. I actually preferred stats and found it more useful for my everyday adult life. Algebra? Aside from the absolute basics, I have never needed it in my post-education career and I’m doing just fine for myself.
Programming logic functions in fire alarm panels basically takes skills derived from algebra.

From coming from a programmers stand point, You need it. Mass i do believe uses the CCSS(Common Core State Standards). Its a hell of a stranded set…
I realized something:
We aren’t even talking about smoke detectors anymore. We went off to algebra and school board learning techniques.
I’m very impressed.
