Rare voice evac (never heard of anything like this before)

This isn’t talked about much, I haven’t heard of a system that sounds like this, the speaker strobe also looks to be rare (I think it’s a federal signal or 90s E90)

This may be an older Honeywell system.

The speaker strobe looks more like a Wheelock ET1070

The panel could possibly be an FCI 7200

Probably an FCI. Honeywell fell off (when it came to making original things) after their FS90 panel which had voice evacuation capabilities. The thing is it has different slow whoops, one of them is long (around 7 seconds), and the other is long but a bit shorter. (As of 1/28/2025, I recommend not taking this reply as information.)

I solved it, it appears to be an Autocall CDNA.

There’s also a few other videos with an Autocall system.

(The Whoop T3 is from a Grinnell-Autocall panel. They got replaced by Simplex along with the CDNA.)

Sorry to revive this topic, but is this an Autocall system?

EDIT:
I found this one too:

seems like theese old autocall systems were popular in vegas

Pretty sure for some of them. Most systems are just EST-3 (some are Notifier, like Flamingo which used to have an FS90, Siemens in CityCenter, and Simplex like Excalibur which has EST4 now). I also did find a TikTok of the Rio one inside a room where you can hear the message clearly.

Also another interesting thing is UCLA here in California, some of the buildings have older Autocall systems. Found what appears to be a Grinnell-Autocall voice evac in an older hospital building with non-ADA Wheelock speaker strobes, which included a Wheelock ET-1010. It does whoop according to the evacuation plan near the elevators iirc.

I also found this on a FB post a while back, which is at UCLA Lab School just West of the UCLA Campus. It’s a Thorn-Autocall system, judging by the square logo on the bottom right on the panel door.

As for Excalibur, I’m quite confused on why they switched to a EST4 considering their current system, (which I think was a 4100U from some alarm videos) was only about 10 or 15 years old. The Simplex speakers are still there however.

Just like a lot of places, they likely wanted to get away from JCI. Simplex’s products generally aren’t the problem, their service is.

Very reasonable of Excalibur if that is the truth, still remember some of the system in 2023 before its replacement.

There’s also these videos of the same system at Stardust, except there’s slow whoop.

That’s an autocall system with the tm9 slow whoop module. Could be a cd-na-3, cd-na-9, or a CD-XA. No way to really onow without seeing the panel.I actually own an autocall cdna panel but it needa a lot of work.

That there is an Autocall CD-NA-3 based off of the VFD display card. Also has directone voice alarm system so could be a NA-9, or a CD-XA if it’s using the addressable cards but those came later on.
