Recent Alarm Acquisitions

I’m making this in case I ever get new Alarms because in the past I would make a new topic every time I got a new Alarm which isn’t very necessary in my opinion. So now from now on every time I get new Alarms I can just post it here.

Here is a Fire Alarm Lot I got on Monday:

A Gentex GX90S-4-15/75WW
3 Simplex 4906-9127s
And a Simplex 4098-9786

I am currently unable to use the 4906-9127s because I need a Smart Sync Module or Panel. Which I might be able to solve that problem soon because the Fire Marshal at the Fire Department said that the other Station has a Simplex Panel that is compatible with my 4606-9101 and the System is due for an upgrade. The Detector on the other hand uses MapNet II which I have no clue how to operate. Now the Gentex GX90S’s Horn and Strobe work despite numerous Scratches on the Housing and Lens.

I saw that listing for that detector and almost bought it as I have a panel that uses Mapnet II. Unfortunately the panel you get that uses that 4606 will not be able to run that detector as it is either conventional or runs idnet only. If you need a chart that says what detectors work on idnet then look up idnet comparability chart and there should be one that pops up. Other than that nice lot.

Ohh. It still looks cool even if I can’t use it. Will I be able to use the TrueAlerts at least?

Do you have a truealert sync module? Otherwise no, you cannot use those truealerts.

If you have a smart sync capable panel

I’m willing to buy that sounder base from you, I have the hardware to run it.

I’ve always loved the look of those Simplex MapNet devices. I think it’s cool that many modern Simplex panels can use MapNet and that many modern Simplex devices can run on older MapNet loops.

Perhaps. Let me think about it.

I Will be getting a 4606-9101 Compatible Panel at some point. I’m not sure if it has Smart Sync Capabilities. If not then I can just buy a Smart Sync Module.

I like that mapnet2 sounder base

Do you know what panel exactly?

The Fire Marshal didn’t confirm the Model. All I know is that it is the same one that the Fire Station used to have, which used the 4606-9101.
