red trim plates with backbox covers in stores.

Have you ever been to a store like this? A department store in my area is like such. It’s remains from an old fire alarm system. So now some of the poles in that store have red and silver squares on them, which looks kind of odd. The store has white ceiling-mount Spectralert Advances now.

Turns out I found one on the wall in some area of the store that wasn’t removed. It’s a wheelock alarm with a vertical pre-ADA strobe.

My Home Depot has this near exits. Based on the date that my dad claims it was built and the alarms of the neighboring stores, they were originally 2903 light or strobe plates. Now there are Spectralerts.
