Not sure how rare this is but I think it is. Saw this in the Merrill Lynch building while trying to find some cool systems.
It’s not ridiculously rare like some devices, but it’s still pretty rare: that’s a Notifier LNG-1W, a manual pull station supposedly from the 80s. The white version in particular is rarer than the red version (LNG-1R).
Oh wow! Nice find there; those are not ridiculously rare. But they’re up there
What is the Rarest Fire Alarm Devices Btw?
That could fit a lot of devices, but at the moment I’m not sure I know what any of them are. There are probably a lot of rare devices that I don’t even know about!
There are some older devices that have never been posted in any well-known collections, such as the Wheelock MIN-24 and ET-1081.
I do not know how UL’s testing process works, but Wheelock has previously received UL listings for an “AMT4” horn (see this document), which may mean Wheelock produced at least one AMT4 to send to UL. This might be the rarest horn, since unlike the MIN-24 and ET-1081, the AMT4 was probably never even released to the public.
Like the Possibly extinct Beige MASS ADA?
I’m not sure that’s what you’d call the rarest of the rare but it’s pretty high up there on the list.
