I have a very good customer who has a firelite ms9200udls fire panel that has actually picked up the user’s manual and read it! He wants to add severe weather notifications and mass evacuation (say in the event of an active shooter) . According to the manual this is something that this panel will support, but according to firelite, it will do weather but not mass notification! Which I’m inclined to disagree agree with. I think it’s firelites way of getting us to upgrade the system
If by “mass notification” you mean “voice evacuation”, yes: the MS-9200UDLS does not have built-in voice capability, meaning you’d have to connect a separate voice panel (such as Fire-Lite’s current ECC-50/100) to it to enable such (you’d also probably have to connect several relay modules to the 9200 to allow it to trip each tone &/or message on the voice panel since I don’t think it has enough relays by default to do so).
Yes, I would “assume “ that was what he was referring to.
