Should you oil a pull station

I was thinking about oiling my AIP AI270 spo, because it was really, i mean REALLY squeaky. And i wanted to keep it at all costs from corrosion.

Usually they don’t need oiling unless they are hard to pull but it should be good for it since it’s metal.

I’ve Slick Fix’d (a lubricant product made by the makers of Flex Seal) a device or two to help lubricate them & it doesn’t seem to have harmed them any.

I apply grease to the latch and slides on the old Honeywell S464 cast aluminum manual stations to make them work easier. They were installed in the mid 80’s and get tested more frequently than code requires.

I often apply WD-40 to locks and hinges - I’ve done this for most of my Simplex products as they begin to dry out and become difficult to work with over time. When used in moderation, it works wonders.
