Although Farenhyt seems to be a proprietary brand, it looks like the IFP panels have publicly available manuals and use the same HFSS programming software as the standard Silent Knight panels, which I assume can be used by anyone with a Silent Knight panel. If a non-ESD obtained a clean IFP panel, would they be able to fully program this panel? Is it acceptable to use such a panel in a real life safety system?

Yes, you could technically program this panel but, assuming that you have not been through the proper Silent Knight training you might not know what you’re doing.

If you have not been through the proper SK training then no.
What do you mean “in a real life safety system”? If you mean at home, it would probably be fine, as it’s already way better than a standalone smoke detector(if you can make it work at a very basic level). If it’s for a commercial, industrial or an application that goes beyond yourself, are you ok taking on the liability?
