Hi Zakaria,
Is this fire alarm system going to be used in a building for active life safety/property protection, or is this just going to be a demonstration or hobby system? We get both alarm technicians and hobbyist users inquiring about either scenario on this board.
It going to be used for an electric cabinet on a pumping station.
Thank you for you offer but I’m from a far country .
Okay, I was asking so we can determine how best to help you. I’ll turn it over and let some of the alarm technicians have the opportunity to give you advice.
Also, bear in mind most of us here are familiar with American fire alarm equipment, not European/Oceanian equipment. Sounders and call points are to Europe and Oceania as horns and pull stations are to America.
Now, if I recall correctly, a fire alarm control panel is required for all installations, no matter how small, so that may very well be the case in Europe as well. Depending on where you’re located, you may be able to find a two-zone or even a one-zone conventional control panel that’ll be able to fit your needs.
For instance, if you live in the UK, C-Tec offers the http://www.c-tec.co.uk/Products/cfp.htm CFP-series panels of two- to eight-zone conventional panels that would be perfect for what you are talking about.
If you’re in New Zealand, there’s an even easier option. Pertronic offers the http://pertronic.co.nz/Brochures/Conventional/panels/F1_mk2.pdf F1-3 single-zone fire alarm control panel that will support 12v sounders or even 100v line speakers with an optional amplifier.
I can’t seem to get to Pertronic’s Australian site, but I imagine there’s a similar product if you live there.
Out of curiosity, out of what country are you based? And remember, I am only presenting possibilities here. If there is a tech that is familiar with foreign fire alarm equipment then they by all means ought to correct me if I’m wrong on anything.
Thank you, and welcome to The Fire Panel, and we hope you enjoy your stay.
Maybe your suggestion would be the appropriate solution. I’m from Morocco, we use European equipments, I found some 2 zones conventional control panels from Honeywell and Cooper France.
Thank you, it’s a pleasure to be here .
