As far as I’m aware, this is a quite rare pull station. The general alarm switch (or whatever that switch is called) takes the same key as Simplex’s duct detector test switches.
That does seem quite rare! Break-glass Simplex t-bars arguably aren’t but one with a two-stage key switch certainly is!
That thing has a lot of terminals! (though arguably shouldn’t it only need 4: two for the main switch & two for the key switch?)
According to a document I found online, it also has “N.O. Annunciator Contacts” as well.
That’d I would assume added the extra two terminals (2 for the main switch, 2 for the 2nd stage switch, 2 for the N.O. Annunciator Contacts)
Very nice find sir! I’m pretty sure I know who you bought it from
At first I was under the impression that those were for the break glass, like to send a trouble to the panel or something. I guess it’s just for a remote led
I’ve seen bilingual and French-only variants of these pull stations in my area (I unfortunately don’t have a photo of the latter models):
I had the same reaction—that’s a big terminal strip! I have a pull station that looks identical to this one from the front but that has a different configuration at the back (two terminals for the pushbutton, two terminals for the keyswitch, and two wire leads for the NC contacts):
