Hi guys, I have a simplex 4006 that I think has a dead cpu board. Does anyone know the model number of the board for a replacement? Thanks.
With a 4006 being essentially a single board panel (and an older one at that) you’re going to be hard pressed to find a replacement of just the board. There’s currently a used one on eBay here: Simplex 4006-9101 Standard LifeAlarm Fire Alarm Control Panel New | eBay
But if this is for a real business, you’re probably due for a full panel swap. This is currently the direct new replacement: https://www.simplexfire.com/conventional-systems/foundation-series-conventional-fire-alarm-control-unit/5601021001_fd/foundation-series-conventional-fire-alarm-control-units
This is correct, but the 4006 could go up to 10 zones, while the new one can only go up to 8. If the existing 4006 has more than 8 zones in use, you’ll have to go for a small addressable panel, or a conventional panel from a different brand (be careful if you go with a different brand, as many Simplex notification appliances only work on Simplex/Autocall SmartSync, so you’d need a sync module from them). If you do go with a new Foundation Series panel, I would probably try to go for an Autocall one, as they are much more open to programming by non-Simplex technicians.
