I have a question about in my new installed fire alarm control panel simplex 4007es,i was plug in the panel to test the power but there is no display on the screen only led lights at the back of the pcb,how is it maybe the cpu is damage?
did you power up from AC first? do you have the usb drive with config?
Yeah i already power up the Ac only led lights at the pcb board and no display on screen,but i dont have the usb
maybe need the usb for program this is my first time of this simplex panel
I had a similar issue before, soon after successful boot up the panel started to make a buzzing noise and screen went dark. Ended up being the main system board in the back that went bad. Hopefully you didn’t pay much for it. There is some replacement parts on eBay but it’s a hit or miss. 4007’s are a bit fragile.

In my experience, the CPU usually goes bad if the four pin is not connected correctly and also if you don’t upgrade the software correctly, it can result in a boot that usually is recoverable. The main board in the back usually is dependable, but it happens that goes bad and it seems to be the case right now.
