Simplex 4010 Signal Power Trouble

I just recently bought a Simplex 4010 with a new SF/IO board. It works, except for 2 troubles I cannot seem to fix. The troubles are on NACs 3 and 4. They are the signal power trouble. I checked everything. Nothing on the board looks damaged. Nothing appears to be shorted out. What else could be causing this? If anyone can help, please let me know.

Does the 4010 contain an expansion power supply?

If YES - there should be 2 wiring harnesses between the SFIO and the expansion power supply. One is red the other is white. When the expansion power supply is in place NAC 3&4 get power from the expansion supply.

If NO - is there a jumper plug in SFIO socket P13 with red wires? When there is not an expansion power supply, NAC 3&4 get power from the main board power supply. The jumper plug in P13 connects NAC 4&4 to the main supply. Harness part number 733-965.

There isn’t an expansion power supply. I checked and there is no jumper plug. Nor was there one in the packaging. Is there a way to buy one, or just short the points manually? Do I risk shorting the panel out by manually jumping it?

Also, thanks for helping me discover the cause of the problem.

Probably the only source for the jumper plug assembly is SimplexGrinnell. They are made of standard Molex plug bodies and pins, but finding the correct model of Molex parts can be time consuming.

The plug jumps the connector pins from top to bottom on each side of the connector. If you want to try jumping it with some wires it should work, just be careful with the connections. Be sure nothing can come loose and touch something that shouldn’t be touched.

Thank you so much! No troubles now! This is the first time that has ever happened to one of my panels. Infinite thanks to you.

Can you tell me how to clear this trouble?
