Recently bought another new Simplex panel to add to my growing disaster collection.
This unit will eventually be networked into the rest of the (WIP) 4120 network, likely as node 3. Network cards for this unit are rather cost-prohibitive, so I’ll likely end up spending about as much, if not more than what I originally spent to buy this unit.
This unit was manufactured in 2016, but was significantly overhauled with the addition of a new PDI board (~ 2021+), new SDACT (Q3 2022), and brand new CPU card (Q2 2024). The only original parts to this unit are the cabinet and the ESS (from what I can tell). Running software rev. 6.05, but will be downgraded eventually to 6.02.05 so it can be programmed easily.
→ There is a small defect with the unit, the LEDs next to User Keys 1 and 2 are burned out or otherwise non-functional. The buttons still work, so I didn’t bother returning it or trying to fix.
