Simplex 4610-9111 Annunciator on a 4010 FACP

I got a Simplex 4610-9111 annunciator recently. It’s meant for the 4006/4008 panels, but I decided to try it on the 4010 for fun. To my surprise, you can kinda get this annunciator working on a 4010, though it isn’t perfect and probably not proper.

I set up the annunciator on the 4010 as a 24 I/O card. From there, I programmed some of the LEDs to trip for various events. I was able to get the LEDs programmed, but I didn’t look into getting the buttons to work. The troubles on the 4010 aren’t related to the annunciator.

No explanation for this, just a fun observation while working with annunciators.

Cool! Mini fire alarm system!

There’s some spots in the metal cabinet where you can mount stuff. That pull station is mounted in with one screw.

Looks very nice and compact :+1:

UPDATE (1/13/24): I got the 4610-9111 fully functional on the 4010! Just set up the annunciator as a 24 I/O card, and then program the LEDs and buttons… pretty simple! The piezo and the alarm silence button required some Custom Control, but those were relatively straightforward. The 4610 annunciator is rare and only meant for the 4006 and 4008, so you would never see this on a real 4010 system. Nonetheless, this is a neat discovery, and it’s nice to know another annunciator works on the 4010 besides the 4606.
