Johnson Controls is introducing a new initiative that allows hobbyists to program and use all Simplex and Autocall panels dating back to the 1980’s. After obtaining equipment at your own expense, sending Johnson Controls the serial numbers, and signing a comprehensive liability waiver, they will void all warranties and send you the programming software and all relevant hardware.
Product Manager, Loof Lirpa, states: “We have been losing market share over the past decade or two, and so we’ve decided to enter a new segment of the fire alarm market - hobbyists.”
