I was thinking since many enthusiasts buy alarms off of eBay and such, a chromium extension would be helpful, coloring the model number based on the result color if you were to use the checker page, and hovering over with the mouse would display Free-Run, SmartSync, etc

Really good idea. Only problem is we have to rely on the seller posting the info correctly. If all is done properly, I think it could really help out new collectors.

Yeah, it’s putting faith in eBay sellers knowing how to read the model number and putting it in the listing correctly, but it will definitely be easier to tell what kind of device it is if entered correctly
I think I mentioned that my SHG was listed as an 8hg because the ink on the label was smeared, so it’s partially relying on that too
I haven’t forgotten about this. I think it’s an interesting idea and I’m going to look into it a bit. I’m not an expert, nor have I ever made a browser extension, but I’m willing to give it a shot.
