will a simplex t bar work on a firelite panel or do i need to buy a simplex module to filter out the fwr current?

Pull stations are really just fancy light switches, so no.
As long as the pull station is conventional or has the addressable module bypassed, it should work with a conventional panel. As for the FWR part, you only have to worry about that when it comes to the NACs (not all Fire-Lite panels put out FWR either, it all depends on which one you have).
